happy birthday Esther!

Friday was Esther’s birthday.  7 years old!  That is insane.

She had a very good day, I think.  She brought a treat into school, and since I happen to be the lunch mom on Fridays, Ian and I got to join her class celebration.  After school, Grandma and Grandpa came over.  We had pizza for dinner, cake with blue flowers (her favorite color), and a pile of fabulous presents.

One of her presents was a pot holder making kit from her godmother, Kate.  I remember we went a little nuts with the pot holders when we were about Esther’s age, so it’s fun to watch her do it now.  Here she is yesterday making her very first one.
